Mary P. Aiello

Mary P. Aiello, 89, of Old Orchard Manor Care, Bethlehem Township, formerly of Easton, died Thursday, February 5, 2009.

She was a former sewing machine operator for Shapiro and Sons and a clerk at Stanton's Children's Store, both formerly in Easton.

Born May 11, 1919 in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Philipo and Crocifissa Curto Taormina.

Mary was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Easton. She was a former member of St. Anthony's School PTA and the president of the Residence Council at Old Orchard Manor Care. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards, especially 500 rummy and most of all, shopping.

Her husband, Joseph F. Aiello died in 1997.

Survivors include a son, Francis P. Aiello and his wife, Rosalie, of Lopatcong Township; a grandson, Rick Hartzell and his fiancé, Terry Reuther, of Palmer Township and a granddaughter, Renae M. Hartzell Schoch and her husband Steve, of Saylorsburg and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, JoAnn M. Hartzell, two brothers, Mose and Joseph Taormina and a sister, Grace Consentino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday in the church, 900 Lehigh Street, Easton. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Township. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. Monday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Phillipsburg.
