Virginia A. "Anne" Auchenbach, 73, of Phillipsburg, died Saturday, January 5, 2008 in Warren Hospital. She formerly worked for Ingersoll-Rand, Cameron Pump Division in the Nuclear Parts Department for seventeen years and for Warren Hospital as a unit secretary. Born June 9, 1934 in Danville, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Lena Walton Harp. She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. She enjoyed bowling in the mixed league at Warren Lanes, crafts, gardening, cross word puzzles, reading suspense novels, collected Marie Osmond porcelain dolls, spending time in the Poconos with her late companion, Robert J. Marzuoli, being at the beach and being with her family. She also was a Yankees fan and loved watching CSI. She will also be remembered for being proud of her Irish heritage. She is survived by two sons, Michael A. and his wife Mary of Palmer Twp and Robert D. or Forks Twp; two daughters, Sally Weaver of Phillipsburg and Chris Symington and her husband Larry of Gulfport, Mississippi; a brother, Wayne of Newport News, Virginia; a sister, Dawn Filek and her husband Hank of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Ann Harp of Southern Shore, North Carolina; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. A brother Thomas and Anne's companion of twenty-eight years, Robert J. Marzuoli both died earlier. Services will begin 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m. in the church, 426 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Entombment will be in Holy Apostle Mausoleum, Greenwich Township. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
