Albert V. Buenzly, 83, of the Heckman House, Phillipsburg, died Tuesday, May 28, 1996 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

He was a store room clerk in the compressor store room at Ingersoll-Rand, Phillipsburg, for 37 years, retiring in 1976.

Born October 14, 1912 in Washington, NJ, he was the son of the late John and Anna Lewis Buenzly.

He attained the rank of Private First Class in the Army, having served during World War II.
He was stationed with the 236th General Hospital Division and was awarded the American Theater and European African-Middle Eastern Ribbons as well as the Good Conduct and Victory medals.

He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and the Heckman House Social Club, both in Phillipsburg and was also a member of the A.A.R.P..

He was a member of the Phillipsburg High School Class of 1931 and had been a member of the high school baseball teams.

He and his wife, the former Florence E. O'Brien observed their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary last July. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Robert C. Of South Whitehall Twp., and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ. Calling hours will be held 7:00 Pm to 9:00 PM Thursday (this evening) in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
