Christina M. "Tina" Barra, 39, of Phillipsburg, formerly of Bayonne, NJ, died peacefully Thursday, May 10, 2007 in Warren Hospital. Christina's family supported her through two long-fought battles with cancer and was with her when she passed.

Tina was a caring person by nature and it showed in her work as a certified nursing assistant at the Phillipsburg Center, where she worked for the past five years.

Born November 13, 1967 in Jersey City, NJ, she was a daughter of Frank Fischer of Phillipsburg and the late Marjorie Dawes Fischer.

She attended St. Philips and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

She enjoyed shooting pool with the Women's Monday Night Pool League, Phillipsburg.

Tina is survived by three sons, Daniel A. Barra of Saylorsburg, Pa.; Michael A. Barra and Mark A. Fischer, both at home; two brothers, John of Phillipsburg and Thomas and his wife Cathy of Lopatcong Twp.; a sister, Barbara Fischer of Bayonne; several nieces and nephews and a close family friend, Laura Ricciardi of Phillipsburg.

Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of services Sunday in the funeral home. Online condolences may be submitted by visiting www.noto-wynkoop.com.
