Chester "Chet" Beam, 59, of Phillipsburg, died Monday, April 9, 2007 in Warren Hospital.

He formerly worked at 7-11 in Phillipsburg.

Born June 27, 1947 in Califon, NJ, he was a son of the late Simon Jr. and Mabel Howell Beam.

He was a Marine Sergeant during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association of America, Lehigh Valley Chapter 415 and was a member of the National Guard, Phillipsburg. He was also a member of the Phillipsburg Fire Company Number 1.

He is survived by two sons, Darryl A. of Macungie and Brian S. of Phillipsburg; two daughters, Shanna R. of Allentown and Heather L. of Phillipsburg; a brother, Samuel of Washington, NJ; a sister, Elizabeth Santella of Washington, NJ and ten grandchildren. A sister, Marcella Ferri and a granddaughter Desiree both died earlier.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Bloomsbury Cemetery, Bloomsbury. The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be submitted at www.noto-wynkoop.com.
