Jessie M. Bercaw, 97, of Harmony Township, died Tuesday, October 10, 2006 in Warren Hospital.

Born July 17, 1909 in Mount Vernon, NY, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Teresa Palia Castiglia.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her companion, Lawrence "Hutch" R. Hamilton, with whom she lived; a daughter, Marie Jessica Strahle of Glendon, PA; two sisters, Mildred Squarcia of Easton and Fior Vernon of New Jersey; three grandchildren, Jessica Cuvo, Lester Rittenhouse and Bill Stahle; three great-grandchildren, Keith Cuvo, Selena and Jason Rittenhouse and a great-great-grandson, Derek Cuvo. Two sisters, Marie Unger and Yolanda Lawler, two brothers, Paul and Eugene and a great-granddaughter, Kim Marie Cuvo all died earlier.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Fairmount Cemetery, Phillipsburg. There will be no visitation.
