Albert J. "Mickey" Berger, 81, of Easton, died Friday, June 6, 2003 in his home.

Born April 20, 1922 in Paterson, N.J., he was a son of the late Henry J. and Miriam C. Block Berger.

He was a district supervisor for Two Guy Department Stores, covering the Northeastern states for 23 years. He last worked for various stove shops in New Jersey.

He was of the Jewish faith.

He was a Private First Class in the Army during World War Two and received the European African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.

Survivors include his companion of twenty-eight years, the former Carolyn LaRose; a brother Norman of Paterson; a step-daughter, Rebecca Hinnerschietz of Northampton, two step-sons, Jim Broadbent of Williams Twp., and Ralph Broadbent of Jacksonville, Fla; eight step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. A son, Michael, a brother Ted, a sister, Selma Joyce Berger and a step-daughter, Diane Wooley all died earlier.
