John Bobinis
John
"Bo" Bobinis, 71, of Phillipsburg, died Thursday, September
9, 2004 in Warren Hospital.
A member of the United Steel
Workers Union, Local 5503, Phillipsburg, he worked as a molder
for Ingersoll-Rand Co., Foundry Division in Phillipsburg for
40 years.
Born June 2, 1933 in Phillipsburg,
he was a son of the late Michael and Mary Bobinis.
John had a love of local sports
and was a baseball coach for Steele Hill Youth Club for 35 years
and Firthtown Youth Club for two years. He was a dedicated fan
of all Phillipsburg High School Sports and was a longtime member
of the Garnet Booster Club.
He was an Army corporal serving
in the Korean War. He was awarded the United Nations and the
National Defense Service Medals.
He was a member of the Y.M.I.A.
in Phillipsburg and the Concordia Maennerchor of Easton.
He and his wife, the former Mary
Ann Frankina observed their 48th wedding anniversary February
18th.
In addition to his wife, he is
survived by three sons, John and his wife Sara of Mifflinburg,
Pa., Michael and his wife Teresa of Bethlehem and Joseph and
his wife Christina of Wilson Borough; four sisters, Josephine
Moran of Forks Twp., Stella Miechur of Lower Nazareth Twp., Genevieve
Kornfeind of Northampton, Pa. and Annie Clasen of Belvidere,
NJ and three grandchildren, Michael, Elissa and McKenna.
Funeral services will be held
10:30 a.m. Monday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S. Main
St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine,
Palmer Twp., Pa. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until
8:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Online condolences may
