Maynard S. Brown
Maynard S. Brown, 82, of Lopatcong
Twp., died Friday, February 22, 2002 in the Brakeley Park Center
in Lopatcong Twp., NJ.
He was a machine operator and
inspector at Ingersoll-Rand, Pump Division, for over 35 years
before retiring in 1981.
Born June 26, 1919 in Hartford,
Conn., he was the son of the late Arthur and Rebecca Silverman
Brown.
He graduated Phillipsburg High
School in 1936.
He was a member of St. Philip
and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.
He was a technician fourth grade
in the Army and served with the 9901st Technical Service Unit.
He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbin
and the World War Two Victory Ribbon.
He and his wife, the former Catherine
E. Rossnagle observed their fifty-eighth wedding anniversary
June 12, 2001.
In addition to his wife, he is
survived by two sons, James A. of Dublin, Ohio and Thomas M.,
Sr., of Lower Nazareth Twp.; two daughters, Margaret D'Alessandro
of Washington Twp., Pa. and Patricia Francett of Anchorage, Alaska;
a brother Mort and a sister Zelma Pugliese, both of Reading,
Pa.; fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A brother
Charles, a sister Shirley and a grandson Thomas M., Jr., all
died earlier.
Funeral services will begin at
9:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South
Main St., Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
at 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, 426
South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery,
Greenwich Twp., NJ. Calling hours will be held from 7:00 p.m.
until 9:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
