Arthur E. Clymer

Arthur E. Clymer, 74, of Phillipsburg, died Thursday, November 25, 1997 in Warren Hospital.

He was a chemical tester and warehouse supervisor for J.T. Baker Chemical Co. In Phillipsburg for forty years, retiring in 1987. He also worked at Lafayette College as a security guard and was a Lopatcong Twp. school crossing guard.

Born May 24, 1923 in Phillipsburg, he was the sone of the late Wilbur L. and Pearl Angst Clymer.

He was a member of the Pilgrim Presbyterian Church in Phillipsburg.

He was a member of the Phillipsburg Lodge Number 52, F.& A.M where he served as a candidate instructor for many years.

He was a member of the Phillipsburg High School Class of 1942.

He was a member of the Italian American Social Club, Phillipsburg.

He and his wife, the former Carolyn R. Smith observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary September 6th.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, James J. of Oceanside, Calif., Gary A. of Easton; a daughter, Linda J. Snyder of Phillipsburg; a brother, Clairmont of Lopatcong Twp.; a sister Pearl Cramer of Bloomsbury and two grandchildren. Three brothers, Stanley, Clifford and Wilbur and a sister, Dorothy McCarthy all died earlier.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery, Phillipsburg. There will be no calling hours.
