Lena Connolly, 89, of the Care Center of Lopatcong, formerly of the O'Donnell Apts, Phillipsburg, died Thursday, December 25, 1997 in the Care Center.

Born March 21, 1908 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Nagy Nemeth.

She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

She was one of the founding members of the O'Donnell Apartments Tenant Social Club in 1965.

Her husband, T. Edward died October 3, 1972.

She is survived by a son, Edward J. Connolly of Lopatcong Twp.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A brother, Joseph and three sisters, Julia Anderson, Mary Stanchus and Margaret Gercie all died earlier.

Services will be held Monday, 9:00 a.m. from the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in the church, 426 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 8:00 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home on Monday.
