Joanne (Cicero) D'Angelo, 67, of Phillipsburg, N.J., died peacefully Saturday, January 7, 2006, in her home. Joanne graduated from Empire Beauty School in Easton and began her career at the beauty salon at Orr's of Easton. She then co-owned the Hillcrest Beauty Salon in Phillipsburg until 1987. She then worked for the Komb in Motion Salon until this past July, ending a fifty-year career. Born August 27, 1938 in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Sebastiano A. "Charles" Sr., and Jennie (Bartolotta) Cicero. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alpha, N.J. Her husband of twenty-five years, Nicholas A. D'Angelo died November 10, 1992. She is survived by four sisters, Josephine Giglio and her husband Anthony of Wilson Borough, Pa., Neva Cicero-Wells of Forks Twp., Pa., Marilyn C. Bevacqua and her husband Barry of Philadelphia, Pa. and Kathi Cicero-Moussa of Palmer Twp., Pa.; a brother, Salvatore Cicero of Drexel Hill, Pa. and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Sebastiano A. "Charlie" Cicero, Jr. died earlier. At Joanne's request, there will be no viewing or visitation, but all are invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, in St. Mary's Church, 830 Fifth Ave, Alpha. Entombment will follow the Mass in the parish mausoleum. Joanne also requested those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy to consider a donation to the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad, PO Box 215, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.
