Nicholas A. D'Angelo

Nicholas A. D’Angelo, 63, of the Delaware Heights section of Phillipsburg, NJ, died Tuesday, November. 10, 1992 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ.

He was employed for many years as an expediter for the Cameron Division of Ingersoll-Rand, Phillipsburg. He last worked in 1985.

Born November 21, 1928 in Philadelphia, he is the son of
Eugene D’Angelo of Philadelphia and the late Frances
Lonzi D’Angelo.

He and his wife, the former Joanne Cicero celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Sept. 9.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Alpha, NJ; the John Dolak American Legion Post #446, Alpha, NJ, and the Overbrook Italo-American Democratic Club, Philadelphia.

A World War II Army veteran, he served with the 42nd Engineer Combat Battalion in Seoul, Korea and attained the rank of Private First Class. He received a WWII Victory Medal and an Army of Occupation Medal.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by one sister, Maryann Marine of Lower Gwynedd, Pa.

Services were held Friday, November 13th, from the Noto­Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ. A Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 830 Fifth Ave., Alpha, NJ. Entombment was in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Alpha.
