Jerry Wayne Evans, 34, of Phillipsburg, NJ, died Saturday, April 12, 1997 in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, PA.

He worked for several employers, including Al's Liquor Store, Frank's Texaco and McGinley Mills, Inc., all in Phillipsburg; Quality Packaging Co., Flemington, NJ

Born Wednesday, March 27, 1963 in Phillipsburg, he is the son of Wayne Evans of Dade City, Fla., and Viola Tuskes Evans of Phillipsburg, NJ.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

He served with the National Guard.

He is a 1981 graduate of the Warren County Vocational Technical School, Washington, NJ

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a step-mother, Yvonne Volkert Evans of Dade City Fla.; two daughters, Janeen Kelly of Easton, PA and Madeline Evans of Phillipsburg; a brother, Alan W. of Alpha, NJ; a sister, Roberta of Easton, PA.; a half-brother, Wayne E., of Easton; two step-brothers, James R. Meglic of Easton and Gregg J. Meglic of Tatamy, PA.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ. Burial will be in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp., PA. Calling hours will be held 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m Friday and 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Saturday in the funeral home.
