Samuel H. Frankenfield, 68, of Phillipsburg, died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, June 1, 2004. Sam was a tire repairman for the former Rapp Tire, Phillipsburg. Born April 24, 1936 in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Warren S., Sr. and Elsie E. Rapp Frankenfield. He was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg. He was a Marine Corp. veteran. He and his wife, the former Pat Ivey celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary last November 5th. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, David of Doylestown; seven daughters, Carla Legend of Newport Ritchie, Fla., Debbie Doerner and Cindy Troxell, both of Easton, Lori Knause of Kunkletown, Patti Lair and Shaun Gable, both of Wilson Boro and Tracie Ferguson of Phillipsburg; four brothers, Warren S., Jr., Richard, Robert and Karl and a sister, Patricia Frankenfield; twenty-four grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. A son, James and a brother William both died earlier. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. An online obituary and tributes can be found at www.noto-wynkoop.com.
