Elvena H. Foose, 68, of Phillipsburg, died Saturday, December 24, 2005 in her home.

She was a former sewing machine operator for A and H Sportswear, Easton and was a member of the Internation Ladies Garment Workers Union.

Born January 5, 1937 in Lopatcong Twp., she was a daughter of Helen Yarence Stone of Broadway, NJ and the Charles Stone.

She is survived by daughters Joy Foose, with whom she resided and Deborah Nagle of Orneville Twp. Maine; three brothers, Charles of Nazareth, Howard of Phillipsburg and Gene of Broadway; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. The family will receive visitors beginning at 6:00 pm. Online condolences may be submitted at www.noto-wynkoop.com.
