Elizabeth L. "Betty" Francett, 75, of Greenwich Twp., died Sunday, January 30, 2005 in Warren Hospital.

Betty was a secretary and bookkeeper for the Easton Publishing Company and Valley Fuel Co. She also worked as an underwriter for Brown and Williams Insurance Co., Easton.

Betty enjoyed reading and late-night movies on TV. The mountains and the seashore always held special places in her heart. Above all, she will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to her loved ones.

Born on Christmas Day, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ethel Snyder Shepherd.

She graduated Phillipsburg High School in 1947 and attended Churchman's Business School.

Betty and her husband, Robert A. Francett, celebrated their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary July 30, 2004.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Robert D. Francett and his wife Patricia of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Barbara A. Francett Tippenreiter and her husband Dennis of Bloomfield, N.J.; four grandchildren, Christine Karna, Vicki Dedik, Jeffrey Francett, and Beth Tippenreiter, and several nephews. A brother Leon died earlier.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Stewartsville Presbyterian Cemetery, Greenwich Twp.
