Joseph Giamoni, Sr., 75, of Phillipsburg, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003 in Warren Hospital. He was a construction worker for the HOD Carrier's Union, Local 569, Washington, N.J. most of his life until his retirement in 1990. Born March 12, 1928 in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Attinello Giamoni. He was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. He was a private in the Army from 1948 to 1950. Joseph and his wife, the former Marie Lore observed their fifty-third wedding anniversary last June 10th. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert A. of Marlton Lakes, N.J. and Joseph, Jr., of Newark, N.J.; four daughters, Judy Tanzella of Forks Twp., Bridget and Michele, both of Phillipsburg and Jana Giammarinaro of Bethlehem Twp, Pa.; two brothers William of Easton and Salvatore of Phillipsburg; a sister Frances DeRoach of Bethlehem; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his cherished and faithful companion, "Belle". A grandson died earlier. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.
