Charles J. Harding

Charles J. Harding, 84, of the Care Center of Brakeley Park, formerly of Phillipsburg, died Monday June 2, 1998 in Warren Hospital.

He worked as a painter in the Turbo Division of Ingersoll-Rand in Phillipsburg for 30 years, retiring in December of 1976.

Born May 2, 1914 in Phillipsburg, he was the son of the late George and Catherine Holden Harding.

He was a technician, Fourth Grade in the Army during World War Two and was assigned to the 504th Medical Collecting Company. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Croix de Guerre ribbon and a Bronze Arrowhead Victory Medal.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Moyer and Kathryn H. Bosco.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bloomsbury Cemetery.
