Thomas A. Hutchison, Sr.

Thomas A. Hutchison, Sr., 67, of Upper Mt. Bethel Township, died Saturday, October 29, 2005 in the Phoebe Slate Belt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bangor, Pa.

He was the owner and operator of the former Bad Penny Used Furniture and the Terminal Army and Navy for many years and currently owned and operated the Two Rivers Army and Navy Store, all in Easton, Pa.

Born June 18, 1938 in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Robert C. Hutchison, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Baker Hutchison.

He was Marine Corp veteran.

He and his wife, the former Evelyn M. Crouse celebrated their twenty-ninth wedding anniversary July 24th.

Tom was dedicated to his businesses, but cherished his 45 years of bowling at Warren Lanes, most recently with the Merchants "A" league and the time he found to go fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Thomas A. Jr. and a daughter, Carol Ann Spaziani; a brother, Gary W. Hutchison of Phillipsburg; four sisters, Edith Rose of Phillipsburg, Virginia Ringhoff of Pohatcong Twp., Ruthann Jones of Bangor, Pa. And Gaile Snyder of Allentown; a step-brother, William Bedo; a step-sister, Jean Titus; several grandchildren, a great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by brothers, William C., Robert C., Jr., Richard and James and sisters, June Markowski and Catherine and Dorothy Snyder and a step-mother, Emma Wintermuth Bedo Hutchison.

A service of remembrance will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp. Vistation will be held Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
