William C. Hutchison, 57, of Phillipsburg, died Monday, September 7, 1992 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, after being stricken at his home on Saturday.

Born December 9, 1934 in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Robert C. Hutchison, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Baker Bedo Hutchison.

He was the owner of Bill's Grocery Store at Washington and Hudson Sts., Phillipsburg, for about 15 years, until the mid 1960's, when he worked as a driver for the former Independent Taxi Cab, Phillipsburg.

Bill and his wife, the former Carol L. Pierce, celebrated their twenty-second wedding anniversary July 25th.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three brothers, Robert C. Jr., and Gary W., both of Phillipsburg and Thomas A. Sr., of Bangor; five sisters, Virginia M. Ringhoff and Edith J. Rose, both of Phillipsburg, Ruth Ann Jones of Bangor, Gaile Walters of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Dorothy Snyder of Allentown, Pa.; a step-brother, William Bedo and a step-sister, Jean Titus, both of Phillipsburg. He was pre-deceased by a step-mother, Emma Wintermuth, three brothers, James, Paul and Richard and a step-sister, June Markowski.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 11, 1992 in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Phillipsburg. Interment will follow in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp. Calling hours will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home
