Robert C. Hutchison, Jr.

Robert C. Hutchison, Jr., 73, of Phillipsburg, died Thursday, June 2, 2005 in his home.

He was a laborer for 7 years with the State of New Jersey, Department of Transportation in Clinton, NJ, before retiring in 1995. He previously worked for Lehigh Foundry, West Easton for 20 years.

Born October 4, 1931 in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Robert C. Hutchison Sr., and Mary Etta Bruch Hutchison.

Bob was a long-time social member of the Reliance Hose, Phillipsburg and was a member of the Gold Prospector's Association of America and enjoyed panning for gold in Colorado. He also enjoyed coin and stamp collecting.

He and his wife, the former Judith Barker were married for 42 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Robert A. and Rodney A., both of Phillipsburg and Richard A. of Pen Argyl; three brothers, Thomas A. of Bangor, Gary W. and William Bedo, both of Phillipsburg; five sisters, Edith Rose and Jean Titus, both of Phillipsburg, Virginia Ringhoff of Pohatcong Twp., Ruthann Jones of Bangor and Gaile Snyder of Allentown and three grandchildren. Five brothers and three sisters died earlier.

Visitation will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Phillipsburg. Private cremation will be held at the convenience of the family. Online condolences are welcomed at www.noto-wynkoop.com.
