Alice M. Jiorle
Alice M. Jiorle, 75, of Phillipsburg,
died Friday, January 2, 2004 in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain
Hill.
Born September 23, 1928 in Wescosville,
Pa., she was a daughter of the late Alden and Anna Klingaman
Weidner.
Alice worked with her husband
of 55 years, James J. Jiorle, Sr., in their businesses for many
years. They owned and operated the Triple J Sportswear in Lopatcong
Twp. for many years and the former Stonehenge Gardens in Phillipsburg.
She was a member of St. Philip
and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg and their Over-Fifties
Club. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas,
Court Warren.
In addition to her husband, she
is survived by four sons, Anthony A. of Lancaster, Pa., James
J. Jr. and his wife Rose A. of Lopatcong Twp., Stephen G. and
his wife Denice A. of Palmer Twp. and John J. and his wife Kip
M. of Harmony Twp.; two brothers, Henry of Allentown and Emery
of Coplay, Pa. and a sister, Mary Ann Stewart and her husband
James of Milford, N.J.; four grandchildren, J. Travis and wife
Leah, Justin L., Andrea S. and Amy S. and many nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Dayton and Lewis and three sisters, Catharine Rems,
Ruth Stumpp and Shirley Arner all died earlier.
Funeral services will be held
9:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South
Main St., Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
at 9:30 a.m. in the church. Entombment will be in Holy Apostles
Mausoleum, Greenwich Twp. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 9:00
p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Online condolence may be submitted
