Horton 'Buddy' Kearns, 57, of Phillipsburg, NJ, died Tuesday in the VA Medical Center, in Lyons, NJ. where he was a guest since 1993.

Born August 29, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Richard H. and Marie Osborn Kearns.

He was a private in the Army.

He is survived by a brother, Edward of Maryland, a brother-in-law, John Kostolanci, with whom he lived and neices and nephews. Two brothers, Richard and Russell and a sister, Anna Kostolanci all died earlier.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Phillipsburg Cemetery, Filmore St., Phillipsburg. There will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Phillipsburg.
