Mary M. Levatz

Mary M. Levatz, of Phillipsburg, died Thursday, December 14, 2006 in Easton Hospital. Mary died just hours before her 92 birthday.

Mary was a homemaker most her life, except for a few years she worked at New York Transformer in Alpha, NJ many years ago.

Born December 15, 1914 in the Brainards section of Harmony Township, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Haschak Stefanick.

She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

Her husband, the late Paul J. Levatz died in 1976.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Marylee Twining and her husband, Parker of Changewater, NJ and Joann Rufe and her husband Frederick of Phillipsburg; three sisters, Helene Pearson and Katherine Edlin, both of Florida and Betty Riley of North Carolina and five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Joseph and John and a sister, Ann Vajda both died earlier.

Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in St. Philip and St. James Cemetery, Greenwich Twp. The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Phillipsburg is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at www.noto-wynkoop.com.
