Rocco Marascio, 71, of Phillipsburg, died Monday, December 23, 1991 in Warren Hospital.

He owned and operated Rocco's Barber shop on So. Main St., Phillipsburg since 1955. He continued to work until several months ago when he was taken ill.

Born on Sunday, February 2, 1920 in Petrizza, Italy, he was the son of the late Onofrio and Rosina (Consentina) Masascio.

He was a member of St. Philip and St. James R.C. Church, Phillipsburg. He also was a member of the Order of Fleas, Easton.

He and his wife, the former Elizabeth Santopolo celebrated their fifty-first wedding anniversary Oct. 5, 1991.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; Louis of Woodlands, TX and Anthony of Phillipsburg. Two daughter; Sylvia Maida and Franca Santoro, both of Phillipsburg. Two brothers; Bernardo of Whittier, CA and Joseph of Easton. One sister; Marianna Brescia of Phillipsburg and seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, 8:15 AM in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 299 S. Main St., Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Philip and St. James R.C. Church at 9:00 AM. Interment in St. Philip and St. James Cemetery, Greenwich Twp., NJ. Call Thursday 7-9 PM.
