Walter Allen McCargo, Jr., 40, of Phillipsburg, formerly of Jersey City, NJ, died Saturday, July 11, 1998 in his home.

He was a former security guard for Wells Fargo Guard Services in Allentown, PA.

Born December 2, 1957 in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Walter A. and Lola Garvin McCargo, Sr.

He was a member of the Open Bible Evangelical Church of God in Christ Church, Easton.

He and his wife, the former Gladys Brown observed their twelfth wedding anniversary May 3.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Walter A. III and Jonathan McCargo, at home and two daughters, Natasha and Nicole Carter, both of Jersey City, NJ.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 1998 in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the Phillipsburg Cemetery, Filmore St., Phillipsburg. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Wednesday in the funeral home.
