John P. Meglic, Sr., 85, of Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, died Monday, March 1, 1999 in Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, Fla. He lived in Spring Hill for the past 14 years. He worked for the Warren Foundry in Phillipsburg for 25 years before working for Reynolds Pharmacy in Phillipsburg, retiring 14 years ago. Born July 18, 1914 in Alleghney County, PA, he was the son of the late George P. and Amelia Turnich Bankosh Meglic. He was a member of St. Francis of Cabrini Catholic Church in Spring Hill, Fla. He and his wife, the former Dorothy J. Shipe recently observed their 63rd wedding anniversary. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, George P. of Easton and John P., Jr., of Winter Haven, Fla.; a daughter, Linda Koenig of Nanty Glo, Pa.; Three brothers, Stephen, Albert and Joseph and a two sisters, Julia Schlert and Theresa Degnan; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 13th, in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in St. Philip and St. James Catholic Cemetery, Greenwich Twp., NJ. Calling hours will be 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
