Irving LeRoy Miller,
Sr.
Irving LeRoy Miller, Sr., 79,
of Washington Township, Warren County, NJ, died Tuesday, January
2, 2001 in Warren Hospital.
He was the former owner/operator
of Irv's Taxi Service in Rockaway, NJ. He was also a former Policeman
and Fireman in Rockaway.
Born March 13, 1921 in Morristown,
NJ, he was the son of the late Sylvannis and Marie E. Wallace
Miller.
He was a private first class
in the United States Army during World War Two.
He was a former member of the
God in Action Church in Bristol, Conn.
He and his wife, the former Mary
E. Crawn observed their twenty-ninth wedding anniversary June
5.
In addition to his wife, he is
survived by a son, Irving L. Miller, Jr. of Stroudsburg, Pa;
a daughter, Lily Mae Bishop of Washington Twp., NJ; a step-son,
Stanley T. Hansen, Jr., of Bristol, Conn.; a step-daughter Mary
E. Hansen of Washington Twp., NJ; a brother Harold of Landing,
NJ; a sister, Alberta Lattig of Rockaway, NJ; three grandchildren
and two step-grandchildren and Keith Miller of Rockaway, NJ whom
he raised. A brother Lloyd and two sisters, Marie White and Doretta
Klutzman all died earlier.
Funeral services will be held
11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Restland Memorial Park in
East Hanover, NJ. There will be no calling hours. The Noto-Wynkoop
Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg is handling the
arrangements. |
