James J. Murray, 52, of Allentown, died Monday, April 15, 1996 in Sacred Heart Hospital.

He last worked for the Mahoney Employment Agency, New York City, NY in 1975.

Born August 15, 1943 in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late James F. And Frances Hayden Murray.

He served in the Army in Ethiopia during the Vietnam War.

He was of the catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife, the former Carol Hoot of Berlin, NJ; two sons, James P. Of Berlin and Brian M. Of Cleveland, OH.

Funeral services will be held 8:30 PM Friday in the Kohut Funeral Home, 950 N. Front St., Allentown. Calling hours will be held 7:00 PM until time of services Friday evening. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ on Saturday at 11:00 AM. The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ is handling the arrangements.
