Genevieve A. Manieri
Genevieve A. Manieri, 76, of
Hollywood, Florida, formerly of Phillipsburg, died Thursday,
April 18, 2002 in the Hospice by the Sea, Hollywood Medical Center,
Hollywood, Florida.
She retired as a bakery manager
for the Xtra Supermarket in Hollywood, Fla where she worked from
1970 until 1995. She previously was an assembly line worker at
Nytronics in Alpha, NJ for 20 years until 1970.
Born November 28, 1925 in Phillipsburg,
NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Assunta (Calcagnetti)
Frinzi.
She was of the Catholic faith
and was a former member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic
Church in Phillipsburg where she organized bingo for many years.
She was a graduate of Phillipsburg
High School in 1943.
She was a member of the American
Legion Post 92 and a past president of the Veteran's of Foreign
Wars, Post 2500, both in Hollywood, Fla.
Her survivors include two sisters,
Pearl Baumann of Miami, Fla. and Lena Silvestri of Palmer Township.,
Pa.; six nephews and four nieces. Two sisters, Mary Wells and
Jennie Hoagland died earlier.
Funeral services will be held
11:00 a.m., Tuesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South
Main Street, Phillipsburg. Burial will be in St. Philip and St.
James Cemetery, Greenwich Township, NJ. A calling hour will proceed
the services, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral
home.
