Peter A. Marino

Peter A. Marino, 87, of La Verne, California, died this summer, 2006, in California. He was born in Phillipsburg, NJ on October 5, 1918 and was the son of the late Joseph and Antoinette Rumore Marino.

Peter married Helen Sidot in 1938 and together, they had a daughter,
Antoinette and a son, Joseph. Both children survive their father. He has a large family of cousins, one niece and a great nephew still living in the Phillipsburg-Easton area.

Peter was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church,
Phillipsburg.

Peter served in the US Navy Sea Bees during World War Two. He did duty on numerous ships and islands in the South Pacific. He participated in the Solomon Islands Campaign and the invasion of the Philippines. He was awarded the WWII Bronze and Asiatic Pacific Campaign and the American Campaign Medals.

He was a member of the Viva la Panza Club of Southern California.

In October, 2001, Peter met Anna Maria and they married March 16, 2002. She survives him.

There will be no visitation or services. Peter's cremated remains were
