Margaret E. Maxwell, 77, of Phillipsburg, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004 in Warren Hospital.

Born May 31, 1927 in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Ralph J. and Elsie Mae Koose Hamilton.

She was a waitress for former Dixie Restraunt and Blue Ribbon Restaurant, both in Easton and the former Wardell in Phillipsburg.

Her husband, the late John E. Maxwell died in 1994.

Survivors include two sons, John Lindner and Jeffrey Kraus; a daughter, Beverly; two brothers, Lawrence R. of Harmony Twp. and Robert of Phillipsburg; four sisters, Annabel M. Hamilton of Lopatcong Twp., Helen Sauerhoefer of Kissimmee, Fla., Betty Cocco of Wilson Borough and Joan Frye of Aberdine, MD.
