Dorothy G. (Jones) McQuaid, 87, of Bloomsbury, N.J., died peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 in her home.

She had worked in the shipping department of Koh-I-Noor in Bloomsbury.

Born November 11, 1915 in Irvington, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Erwin W., Sr., and Carrie V. (Becker) Jones.

She was a member of the Bloomsbury Methodist Church and the W.S.C.S. Women's Club of the church.

She was a former member of the Bloomsbury Hose Ladies Auxiliary, a former member of the Bloomsbury P.T.A. and was formerly active in the SHARE Food Program in Bloomsbury.

She and her husband, George A. McQuaid, Sr., observed their sixty-eighth wedding anniversary on September 9, 2002.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, George A. McQuaid, Jr. and a daughter, Alice J. Stone, both of Bloomsbury; three brothers, William of White Township, N.J., Erwin, Jr. of Stewartsville, N.J. and Philip of Milford, N.J.; a sister, Evelyn Peterman of Bloomsbury; four grandchildren, Brian McQuaid, Missy Urban, Rhonda Stone and Cynthia Durholz; five great-grandchildren, Samantha Urban, Hiliary Frankenfield, Andrew Durholtz and Tammy and Kelly McQuaid. Four brothers, Wilbur, Lester, Harry and Roy and two sisters, Ruth Burd and Florence Wolverton all died earlier.

Cremation will be private. There will be no visitation. The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg is handling the arrangements. Burial will be announced at a later date. Online condolences may be submitted at www.noto-wynkoop.com.
