George A. McQuaid, Jr., 64, of Bloomsbury, NJ, died peacefully Monday, May 12, 2003 in his home. He was machinist at Bell and Howell in Allentown for 10 years, retiring in 2001. He previously worked for F.L. Smidth in Lebanon, NJ for 25 years and for Ingersoll-Rand in Phillipsburg. Born July 21, 1938 in Bloomsbury, he was the son of George A., Sr., of Bloomsbury and the late Dorothy G. (Jones) McQuaid. He was a member of the Bloomsbury United Methodist Church. He will be remembered for his love of his family, hunting, fishing and boating. He enjoyed touring in his R.V. and collecting guns. He was a member of the Tuckerton Seaport Museum in Tuckerton, N.J. and the Bloomsbury Rod and Gun Club. In addition to his father, he is survived by a son, Brian K. of Bloomsbury; a daughter, Michelle "Missy" D. Urban of Hampton, NJ; a sister, Alice J. Stone, of Bloomsbury, three granddaughters, Tammy and Kelly McQuaid and Samantha Urban and a companion, Cecelia "Pat" McKenna, of Jim Thorpe, PA. Services and burial will be private.
