Frederick Michalowski
Frederick Michalowski, 88, of
Phillipsburg, died Monday, March 18, 2002 in Warren Haven, Mansfield
Twp., NJ.
He was a jitney driver for J.T.
Baker Chemical Co. in Phillipsburg for more than thirty-five
years, retiring in 1978.
Born July 28, 1913 in Oxford,
NJ, he was the son of the late Peter and Cecilia (Hummer) Michalowski.
He was a member of St. Philip
and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.
He was a member of the Baker
Chemical Retirement Group.
He was a private in the Army
during World War Two.
He and his wife, the former Valeria
"Viola" Feltman observed their fifty-eighth wedding
anniversary September 11, 2001.
In addition to his wife, he is
survived by two daughters, Carole Rood of Cranford, NJ and Jean
Steinberg of Manilus, NY; a brother John of Belvidere; three
sisters, Pauline Ozyjowski and Cecelia Radaskiewicz, both of
Great Meadows, NJ and Lillian Lusk of Oxford and one grandson,
Geoffrey Rood. He was predeceased by four brothers, Theodore,
Charles, Michael and Peter and two sisters, Anna Mae Piasecki
and Catherine Michalowski.
Funeral services will be held
11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South
Main St., Phillipsburg. Entombment will be in the Holy Apostle's
Mausoleum, Greenwich Township. A calling hour will be held from
10:00 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home on Thursday.
