Jeanette D. Nattress, 70, of Phillipsburg, died Monday, June 11, 2001 in Mansfield Twp., NJ. She was a ward secretary at Warren Hospital, retiring in 1985 and was a former secretary for the Cameron Pump Division of Ingersoll-Rand in Phillipsburg. Born September 24, 1930 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Angelo "Whitey" and Josephine Frinzi DeThomas. She graduated Phillipsburg High School in 1948 and attended Churchman's Business School in Easton. She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. She was a former member of the Junior Catholic Daughters of America, Court Warren, where she was active in forming and leading the former Juniorette Catholic Daughters. She was active in fund raising for the former Phillipsburg Catholic High School Parent-Teacher Organization. She also served as an officer in her branch of the Sisters of the Swish during the Phillipsburg Centennial Celebration in 1961. She and her husband, Donald C. Nattress observed their forty-sixth wedding anniversary on September 25, 2000. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, David D. of Phillipsburg; a daughter, Lorraine J. Ruggiero of Palmer Twp.; a sister, Joanne DeThomas of Phillipsburg; two grandchildren, Dominic and Marissa Ruggiero and a step-grandson, Aaron Diehl. A brother, Robert R. DeThomas died earlier. Funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m. Friday from the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in the church, 426 S Main St., Phillipsburg. Rev. Vincent P. Chen will be the celebrant for the Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Greenwich Twp., NJ. Calling hours will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. |
