Antoinette M. "Ann" Noto

Antoinette M. "Ann" Noto, 80, of Phillipsburg, died Sunday, March 9, 2003 in the Lopatcong Center, Lopatcong Township, N.J.

She was formerly a seamstress with the Easton Dress Factory in Easton. In 1965, she and her husband, Joseph A. Noto, established the Joseph A. Noto Funeral Home in Phillipsburg. They operated the funeral home for twenty-five years until their retirement in 1991.

Born March 25, 1922 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Coco Conzalaro.

She graduated Easton High School in 1939.

She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg where she was a member of the Over-Fifties Club. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Warren 389.

She was a past president of the Junior Warren Hospital Auxiliary and served on the Phillipsburg Housing Authority for fourteen years. She served as an election board judge for thirty-five years and was a former treasurer for the Warren County Democratic Woman's Club. Ann enjoyed playing cards with the girls in her card club, known as the "Birthday Club".

In addition to her husband of fifty-nine years, she is survived by a son, Joseph A. Noto, Jr., and his wife Catherine of Forks Township; a daughter, Roseann LaFisca and her husband Thomas of Yardley; a granddaughter, Tanya Garren and her husband Patrick. A brother Joseph and two sisters, Theresa Trapani and Caroline Wilder all died earlier.

Funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m. Thursday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in the church, 426 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be submitted at www.noto-wynkoop.com.
