Robert H. O'Brien, 70, of Port Murray, NJ, died Monday, October 3, 2005 in Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover, NJ.

He was a self-employed contractor.

Born May 17, 1935 in Phillipsburg, he was a son the late Elwood J., Sr., and Ethel Kaffitz O'Brien.

He graduated Phillipsburg High School in 1953.

He was an Army veteran.

He is survived by two sisters, Florence E. Buenzly and Betty L. DiMatteo, both of Phillipsburg; two nephews, Robert Buenzly and The Rev. John DiMatteo and a niece, Rhonda DiMatteo. Three brothers, Elwood Jr., Russell and Donald all died earlier.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery. The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg is handling the arrangements.
