Louis F. Penzar, 92, of Phillipsburg, died Wednesday, October 7, 1998 in Warren Hospital.

He was a laborer for Atlantic States Cast Iron Pipe Co., Phillipsburg before retirement.

Born January 2, 1906 in Stockertown, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Elizabeth Paloga Penzar.

He was a private first class in the Army during World War Two and was assigned to the 1570th Service Command Unit Headquarters Section. He received the Good Conduct Medal.

He was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

His wife, Georgianna died in 1983.

He is survived by one sister, Mary Wardlow of Pohatcong Twp. A brother Joseph and a sister Elizabeth Fadero both died earlier.

Private graveside services in the parish cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.

The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg is handling the arrangements.
