Sarah P. Parnell, 97, formerly of Scranton, Pa., died Sunday February 18, 2007 at the Brakeley Park Center, Lopatcong Twp., N.J.

Born April 25, 1909 in Friedensburg, Schuylkill County, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Harrison M. and Laura Brown Kramer.

Sarah was a licensed practical nurse, and did private duty nursing for many years in Scranton, Pa.

For twenty years, she and her husband, the late John Howard Parnell owned and operated Parnell’s Luncheonette in downtown Scranton.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Scranton. She also volunteered at the Senior Craftsman Shop in Scranton.

Sarah is survived by a son, John H. Parnell, Jr. of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Nancy Migliacci of Easton, Pa., five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
