Charles R. Riker Sr., 88, of Phillipsburg, died Friday, August 4, 2000 in Warren Hospital. He was a maintenance supervisor for Atlantic Tool in Easton. He retired in 1972. Born April 13, 1912 in Glendon, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Irene J. Shell Riker. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alpha. He was a Machinist's Mate Third Class in the Navy during World War Two with the 128th Naval Construction Battalion and received the Pacific and American Theatre Ribbons and the World War Two Victory Medal. His wife, the former Mary Theresa Kozari died earlier. He is survived by a son, Charles R., Jr. of Allentown, Pa.; a daughter, Maryann Riker of Phillipsburg and a granddaughter. A sister, Helen Anderson died earlier. There will be no services or calling hours. Private cremation will be held at the convenience of the family and burial of the cremated remains will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Alpha.
