Harry L. Roderick, Jr.

Harry L. Roderick, Jr., 73, of Phillipsburg, formerly of Bound Brook, NJ, died Sunday, January 14, 2001 in Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg.

He was a boiler operator at Muhlenburg Hospital in Plainfield, NJ for 14 years before retiring in 1987.

Born August 31, 1927 in Parkhill, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry L. and Rosemary Reed Roderick, Sr.

He graduated from Conemagh High School in Conemagh, Cambria County, Pa.

He served in the Army and the 621st Air Material Squadron from 1945 to 1947 and had attained the rank of corporal. He also served with the Air Force from 1950 to 1951

He was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars of the United States, Post 14000 of Kansas, MO and the American Legion Post 215 of Catasauqua, PA.

His wife, the former Evelyn C. Grimlott died in 1993.

He is survived by two sons, Darryl S. of Champagne, IL and Dennis A. of Phillipsburg; a daughter Sandra Lee Bunting of Gifford, IL; a brother Terry of Jersey City, NJ; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Thelma Shinka and Dorothy Ford died earlier.

Private cremation will be held. There will be no viewing or services. The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ is handling the arrangements.
