Eleanor S. Roseberry

Eleanor S. Roseberry, 82, of Washington, NJ, died Thursday, January 26, 2006 in Easton Hospital.

She was a sales clerk at the former Cohen's Clothing Store in Washington.

Born May 4, 1923 in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Suzanna Sigafoos Beatty.

Eleanor was a life-long member of the First Lutheran Church of Stewartsville where she devoted much of her time to volunteering, singing in the choir and working with the Crafty Ladies group. She was also an active member of the Easton Musical Arts Chorus of Easton.

Her husband of fifty-six years, the late William D. Roseberry, Sr., died March 8, 2000.

She is survived by three sons, William D., Jr. and his wife Betty of Tennessee Ridge, Tenn., Charles B. "Chuck" of Washington and Raymond R. of Wind Gap; a daughter, Kay L. Milford and her husband Rick of Wilson Borough; a sister, Grace C. Beatty of Lopatcong Twp; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Three brother, William, Gilbert and Charles and two sisters, Bertha and Idabelle Beatty all died earlier.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday in the church, Main Street, Stewartsville. Burial will be in the Bloomsbury Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Phillipsburg.
