William D. Roseberry, Sr., 75, of Washington Boro, NJ, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000 in Warren Hospital He was a former sales and credit manager at Lipkins Furniture in Easton. He also owned and operated the Douglas Collection Agency in Washington, NJ. In addition, he was a former credit manager for the Easton Credit Bureau in Easton. Born August 6, 1924 in Stewartsville, NJ, he was the son of the late Edgar B. and Lois Gruver Roseberry. He was a member and former usher at the First Lutheran Church of Stewartsville. A Storekeeper Second Class in the United States Navy during World War II, he received the Asiatic Pacific, American Theatre and Victory Ribbons and served with the SeeBee's. He was also a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, Post 6701 and the American Legion Post 103, both located in Washington, NJ. He was a Master Mason with the Mansfield Lodge #36, Free and Accepted Mason. He and his wife, the former Eleanor S. Beatty, observed their 56th wedding anniversary last August 29. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, William D. Jr. of Tennessee Ridge, TN, Charles B. of Fogelsville, Pa and Raymond R. of Windgap, Pa; a daughter, Kay L. Milford of Wilson Boro, Pa; a sister, Gail Hildabrandt of Bangor, Pa; two brothers, James Gary of Oxford, NJ and Thomas Rittenhouse of Watertown, NY, thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, in the First Lutheran Church of Stewartsville, N Main St., Stewartsville, NJ. Masonic Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. in the church on Saturday. The family will receive friends and relatives from noon until time of services Saturday in the church.
