Arthur Peter Samer, 91, of Delaware Park, Lopatcong Twp., formerly of Parkside, Pohatcong Twp., died Wednesday, January 17, 1996 in the Care Center of Brakeley Park, Lopatcong Twp., NJ where he was a patient for the past three years.

He retired in 1969 from Ingersoll-Rand in Phillipsburg as the Superintendant of the Drill Floor. He worked for I-R for 46 Years.

Born April 10, 1904 in Roselle, NJ, he was the son of the late Peter and Rose Schwartz Samer.

He was a former member of the Phillipsburg Elks Lodge, #395 and was an active bowler with the Warren Lanes Senior Citizen's Bowling League until 1992.

His wife, the former Emma Mae Richards, died August 12, 1979.

He is survived by three daughters, Joyce Hineline of Blain, PA, Ruth Maitland of Lakeville, PA and Barbara Butler with whom he resided; one brother, Floyd Samer of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters died earlier.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Harmony, NJ. Calling hours will be Friday, 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
