Dale Robert Sanford

Dale Robert Sanford, 47, of Phillipsburg, died Saturday, January 1, 2000 in Warren Hospital.

He was a former welder and had worked for Rockaway Tank and Moore Trench Welding for many years. He last worked as a stockperson at Wal-Mart in Pohatcong Twp.

Born June 13, 1952 in Dover, NJ, he was the son of the late Christopher and Elsie Mahan Sanford.

He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Phillipsburg. He also attended Abilities in Washington, NJ and was a volunteer at both Warren Hospital and St. Luke's Church.

Dale and his wife, the former Margaret Corkins observed their second wedding anniversary June 22.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James of Newton, NJ; a daughter, Gina Sanford of Dover, NJ; a step-son, Harold Klump of Phillipsburg; a step-daughter, Gina Klump of Phillipsburg, three brothers, Carl and Robert, of Phillipsburg and Gary of Dover, NJ; a sister, Alma Ladlee of Easton and a granddaughter, Alexandra Sanford. A brother, Christopher died in 1988.

Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. with the Rev. Joseph Bakey of St. Luke's Episcopal Church officiating. Calling hours will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
