Thomas M. Scheetz, 64, of Phillipsburg, died Saturday, September 12, 1998 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg. He was employed in the Food Services Department at Warren Hospital for the past fourteen years. He formerly worked for Ingersoll-Rand in Phillipsburg. Born August 25, 1934 in Easton, he was the son of the late Girard and Edith A. DeHart Scheetz. He was an active member of the River of Life Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Phillipsburg where he and his wife, the former Dolores E. Pfeiffer, hosted Discipleship Groups in their home for the last year. He served in the Marine Corps. as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. He was an Exempt Member of the Phillipsburg Fire Company Number 1, Phillipsburg. An avid football fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Phillipsburg High School Football, he had never missed a Phillipsburg-Easton Football games in the last 37 years. He and his wife observed their forty-first wedding anniversary May 18th. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Girard and Gerald, both of Easton; two sisters, Catherine Tigar and Patricia Harrison, both of Phillipsburg. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the Phillipsburg Cemetery, Filmore St., Phillipsburg. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday in the funeral home.
