Rachel Rebecca Seibel, 37, of Phillipsburg, formerly of Minneapolis, died Saturday, June 29, 1996 as a result of an automobile accident in Greenwich Twp, NJ She was a clerk and purchasing agent for the Orbel Corp., Phillipsburg. She previously worked as a clerk at Staples in Phillipsburg and as an assistant manager at the Wall Record store in the Palmer Park Mall. Born September 1, 1958 in Minneapolis, Minn., she is the daughter of Vernon D. and Karen Beilke Holmburg of Minneapolis. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis and received an associates of arts degree from the University of Minnesota. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was active with the theater group and clown club of the church. She enjoyed various kinds of arts and crafts, poetry and theater. She recently became a member of the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad. She and her husband, Rev. Stephen E. "Wally" Seibel, pastor of St. John's Church, observed their seventeenth wedding anniversary last December. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by one son, Nathaniel J. and a daughter, Toveh A., both at home; and one sister, Cecily Holmburg, of Minneapolis. Funeral services will be held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. John's Lutheran Church, 278 Chambers St., Phillipsburg. Private cremation and interment will follow the services. Calling hours will be held Monday, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, and Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. until time of services in the church. Contributions will be accepted during the calling hours at the funeral home and church. |
