Theodore Slager, Jr.

Theodore Slager Jr., 91, died Saturday, January 6, 2001 in his home in Greenwich Township, the home which he built with his father sixty years ago

He retired from Ingersoll Rand Co. after nearly 40 years as a machinist, accountant and advertising supervisor.

He was born Aug. 20, 1909, in Easton.

He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Easton.

He attended Easton schools and had a degree in engineering from Lafayette College, Easton.

He was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts; a member of the Masonic Lodge in Phillipsburg; past chairman of the board of adjustment and chairman of the planning board in Greenwich Township; served on Meals on Wheels and was a member of the Trinity Church Bridge Club and the Holland Township Bridge Club.

He was a member of Harkers Hollow Golf Club in Phillipsburg.

He is survived by one son, Dr. David Jefferson Slager of Hendersonville, Tenn.; three granddaughters, Mrs. Alexa Pyle, Dr. Megan Verret and Dr. Danisha Robbins and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the church, Spring Garden Street, Easton. There are no calling hours.

Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, is in charge of arrangements.
